How it works
Most homes only get RO at the kitchen sink. A whole-house RO system treats every tap, shower and appliance — the same purified water you would buy in a bottle, throughout the house. Phoenix water carries a heavy load of dissolved minerals, and whole-house RO takes them out instead of just softening them.

Whole-house RO vs. a softener
Water softener
Swaps hardness minerals for sodium or potassium so they stop forming scale. Great for scale; the water still carries the same total dissolved solids.
Whole-house reverse osmosis
Removes most dissolved minerals and many other contaminants from all the water entering the house. Often paired with a softener or pre-filter to protect the membranes.
